Do I need accounting services if I just incorporated?
Yes. All Malaysian companies — Sdn. Bhd. and Labuan — are required to maintain proper accounting records from their first day of operation. Failing to do so can result in penalties from LFSA or Labuan FSA.
Do you support both Sdn. Bhd. and Labuan companies?
Absolutely. We have dedicated teams experienced in both entity types. Labuan companies have different reporting requirements under Labuan FSA, and our accountants are well-versed in these distinctions.
What accounting software do you use?
We work with Xero, QuickBooks, and SQL Accounting — the most widely used platforms in Malaysia. We'll recommend the best fit for your business size and needs during onboarding.
How do I send you my financial documents?
Everything is handled digitally. You can upload receipts and invoices via our client portal, email, or WhatsApp. We also connect directly to your bank feeds through your accounting software for automatic reconciliation.
Is payroll included in accounting packages?
Payroll is included in our Growth and Enterprise plans. For the Starter plan, payroll can be added on as an optional service. All payroll processing includes EPF, SOCSO, EIS contributions, and monthly payslips.
Can I switch from my current accountant to SetupHero?
