Is a Corporate Secretary mandatory in Singapore?
Yes. Under Section 171 of the Singapore Companies Act, every company must appoint a qualified Corporate Secretary within 6 months of the date of incorporation.
Who can act as a Corporate Secretary?
The secretary must be a natural person who is ordinarily resident in Singapore (Citizen, PR, or EntrePass/EP holder). SetupHero provides a qualified resident to act as your named secretary.
Can a sole director also be the company secretary?
